I paint the background, using acrylics, to show that puffins are found on or near the ocean.  I used both caribou (dyed black) and Dall sheep pelts to create the puffin.   The puffin's beak and feet are pieces of Dall sheep pelt dyed to match the orange and yellow of a real puffin. The rock the puffin is standing on is a piece of caribou pelt.

I place the artwork in a 9"x 12" shadowbox frame, covered with glass

for protection.
